Snow Day

As a parent, you have these defining moments with your kids that you describe as being "magical". For me, it was moments like when the first time my babies smiled at me, the first time Quinn really understood the magic of Christmas, and seeing her face when she learned to ride a bike. But this morning, this morning was even more magical than anything I have ever experienced with my littles. Hurrying to put on the warmest clothes we could find (because you know, living in Houston those things just aren't necessary) to go outside to build (and destroy) a snowman, have a snowball fight, and throw snow in the air over and over all before you have to get on the bus WILL be one of my fondest memories I have with my kids. Sure, for those of you who live up north, snow is just another norm of the season, and to some a nuisance, but when you live in a climate like it is here in Houston, all we know is hot and humid. Kids that live here DREAM of waking up to snow on the ground. And today, that happened! I knew as soon as I saw the snow I had to get my camera out and document this!

Cerny Wedding

02.04.17

Yesterday I got to witness the sweetest wedding between Andrea and Josh. The ceremony took place at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Cypress, TX. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a good ol Texas bar-b-que dinner followed by a night of dancing, keg stands [yes, I said keg stands], and finally we said goodbye to the newlyweds with a sparkler exit. I had a blast photographing this one, folks! Enjoy the sneak peek!

The One at the Beach

It's only fitting that I open my brand new website by blogging [one of] my most favorite sessions to date! Who knew that the beach that everyone here in Houston grew up loving simply for its proximity would make for the most beautiful family session. I met Meggan and her sweet family a year ago through my friend and old neighbor (Katie, come back to us!). I took 2 year old birthday pictures of her son, Parker, in the cutest Curious George themed birthday shirt. The camera loved him then, so it's no surprise that his 3 year old birthday pictures blew me away once again. It took almost no convincing to get Meggan and her family to meet me down in Galveston for this photoshoot. I really, REALLY, hope this inspires some of you to book a beach session with me in the future! Take a look at some of my favorites from this sunset session under the Pleasure Pier.
